You can get grants of up to $19 000 if you employ registered apprentices and trainees in Western Australia's building and construction industry – with an additional 30% loading if you engage Aboriginal apprentices.

Australian Apprenticeship Support Network
The Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) offers a free service to employers, apprentices and trainees to support each stage of the apprenticeship/traineeship program. If you hire apprentices, you may be eligible to receive payroll tax exemptions, travel and accommodation allowances and incentive payments under the Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Programme.

Industry Skills Fund – Growth Stream
The Industry Skills Fund – Growth Stream will help fund up to 200 000 training places and support services over four years to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), including micro businesses (0 to 4 employees).
The fund primarily targets SMEs, including micro businesses which plan to upskill and reskill their workforces to better position themselves for growth opportunities. The training grant helps you with the cost of employee training.

Industry Skills Fund – Youth Stream
The Industry Skills Fund – Youth Stream includes the Training for Employment Scholarships.
If your business has fewer than 200 employees and you hire an unemployed person aged between 18 to 24 after 1 March 2015, you may be eligible for funding of up to $7 500 to cover up to 26 weeks' job specific training.

The Restart program provides incentives and assistance to encourage as many mature age job seekers as possible to find suitable work and to stay off welfare. The value of a Restart wage subsidy is up to $10,000 (GST inclusive) over a 12 month period.
